Thomas A. Hendricks: Encyclopedia Americana - Born near Zanesville, Ohio, on Sept. 7, 1819. He was elected to the vice presidency on the ticket headed by Grover Cleveland in 1884. He served less than nine months, until his death in Indianapolis on Nov. 25, 1885.
